Brihanmumbai Mahanagarpalika G/North Municipal Laboratory

The Municipal Laboratory functions under the Public Health Department of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The laboratory's day-to-day operations are carried out under the guidance of the Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) and the Deputy Commissioner (Public Health). The Executive Health Officer (E.H.O.), who heads the Public Health Department, also serves as the head of the laboratory's management and is responsible for overseeing the implementation of policies and regulations. The Joint Executive Health Officer (Jt.E.H.O.) supervises the laboratory's overall activities and also ensures the availability of the testing resources, equipment, and personnel required for high-quality testing of food and water samples.

The Public Health Department established the laboratory to serve the community and has continuously worked to develop its infrastructure, providing the latest technical tools and equipment to deliver high-quality testing services. The Municipal Analyst Laboratory is grateful to the officers of the Public Health Department (P.H.D.) for their continuous guidance, motivation, and support.
